I can differentiate; you are enabling the situation. So it will spread. I am not one of those people with a below average IQ you intimated as much yourself. I know what I'm doing and I know what the teacher in question is doing because of that knowingness.

My IQ doesn't have much to do with it, my willingness not to flinch from what I'm observing does.

That's not semantics, justified is about justice. I understand we don't know what words mean anymore, and go by what we think they mean but semantics is big programming contrivance these days. This isn't about justice there's nothign justified in programming children, you show them you don't program them. Teachers who have to program their students are revealing more about their motives and how emotionally arrested they are. They fear their ability to actually be a teacher, so must become a programmer so the students don't do anything that may challenge them.

Compassion is allowing others to experience (if called for) pain if it hastens the healing/ growth process. How to manage pain during that time. Enabling is when the healing or growing process is arrested because of external influence. Its about pain avoidance on the part of the external influence.

It depends on what you are surrendering to, having aha moment or surrendering to fact that enabling programmers creates more programmed people or surrendering that you might have got caught in the undertow of a much deeper problem that you originally perceived and you just realized you were never taught to swim in deeper waters ....

I'd find it karmic or ironic or some sort of 'ic' that your sink or swim analogy just pulled you out to sea..
