The big band theory, just for clarity sake, has nothing to do with what caused it, why, how or anything along these lines.

The theory is about the after effects of something that must of occurred, based on the after effects...and easy to understand how the logic is applied...to be fair.

But this is what is exciting and fascinating regarding the study of reality "as we observe it" new findings are what continues the drive and passion...

Well that's because either "modern" science hasn't an effing clue, or something is being obscured same as gas and food prices not being included in the rate of inflation.

Ross, I'm still having a problem with astronomy basically being the sole focus of study in what our reality is, and how it relates to us... Are there no other factors to consider besides what we see through telescopes, or what happens with molecules we run through a collider?
The road goes on forever and the party never ends

    Hi Fred,

Nothing that we can quantify in a rational way, as yet, other than the methods we use...and maybe therein lays part of the problem.

We are by definition, natural observers, using our sense's as it were...Information is then decoded via the Brain...using the tools we have.

One would suspect with reasonable certainty, that the future in tech, tools, unlocking the brain, neuron Science etc, will provide further knowledge...

Outside of that, all we have other than rational pursuits, are the "altered states" of mind, by whatever 'means, but that's simply not a viable enough pathway for anything of much use other than an altered perception.

Heya Haze...long time dude, hope all is well with you and yours

As individuals there are ton's of them...

As a collective though, we need to have some kind of understanding as a general consensus, and remember that we are in a constant forward motion of furthering understanding so that will change or revise what we now know, as it has always done.

If we all experienced multiple dimensions for example, or could see and channel aliens, or "many" were abducted, in numbers that could not be ignored, the consensus will eventually have to concede as to an accepted reality...as an example...

Good to see you too Ross. My perception of reality/realities is going to take me a few to put into words. But I will lol (and it might get me put into a straight jacket)

Whitehaze... wow. Good to see you.

Been meaning to catch up with this thread for a day or so. Probably should before I open my yap.

But first, I have to go cook dinner. Call it a... reality check.
