It’s with a very sad heart, as I write this…

I have known Fred since 2008, working with and conversing with him in cyber space and via Skype. He is too me, an outstanding Man, a gentleman. A very wise and intelligent man with an outstanding sense of humour, who put family first and often spoke of them with love and support.

He was one very special Man, with a gifted purpose and a loving soul, and the world needs more like him…

I will dearly miss his presence here and elsewhere…

Love to you dear Fred, be in peace my friend.

Of all the people that I've read on the internet, it was Fred's posts that I enjoyed the most.

    At a loss for words.

Condolences to Fred's family and his large extended family here on the internet.

You always felt like a big brother to me, Fred. And I'll wager my whiskers against yours that I'm not the only one that felt that way. A truly class act you are, good friend.

A passage from Julius Caesar says more than anything I can come up with.

"He only, in a general honest thought
And common good to all, made one of them.
His life was gentle, and the elements
So mix'd in him that Nature might stand up
And say to all the world 'This was a man!'

Alia left me a message this morning from his phone and I knew I wasn't going to be hearing good news. Me and Fred were very close, texting often. He trusted me enough to always share what was going on in his life, and it was the same for me. He loved to irritate me with basketball updates during the NBA season, knowing full well I hate the NBA. He was one of the smartest guys I know. He was one of the funniest as well. He cared so much for his family and friends. Always asking for updates on you all while he was away from the forum. I'm fortunate to have had his friendship over the years. I know he will continue to watch out for us. I love you, Fred.

Re: Fred Coleman (FredKC) Has Passed Away

I was going to do a passing tribute to Mr. Fred in my Prison Planet thread but I just don't have time due to work problems, maybe tomorrow.

This is not meant to be disrespectful or in no way, shape, or form a joke. Did anyone get any 'messages' from Fred.

I have a fan in my bedroom that I have always going. I have a remote that I always use to turn it off and on...usually I turn it off in the morning before I take off for work. I have three things always going, my TV, my laptop and my fan. This evening when I tried to turn it on with the remote, it wasn't working and I figured the battery must have gone dead. That wasn't it. My fan was unplugged. That is exceedingly strange. I am the only one that has access to my house during the day and there is simply no way for anyone to have unplugged it. But there you have it. Either, I have gone senile and physically unplugged it from the surge protector behind my 72-inch TV this morning or something weird happened today.

    Hi Bethany,

Did Fred have health problems. Just ignore me, if the question is too personal.

I'm sure he wouldn't care, he was an open book. He's had issues with diabetes and secondary issues from that. Though I thought he'd been much better the last 6 months. I guess things can just come out of no where.
